Striperjohn "Politicians beware!" .....When men like this have to take time from there busy life to go speak the truth and to make politicians aware of what powers we have actually given them they must be aware that it is never a good thing for them, when good men decide it is time to stand.

A person steals guns, (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW), shoots and kills his own mother (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW), transports these guns loaded (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW), brings guns onto school property (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW), breaks into a school (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW), discharges the weapons within city limits (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW), murders 26 people (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW), and commits suicide (WHICH IS AGAINST THE LAW).
And there are people in this country that somehow believe that passing ANOTHER LAW banning guns would protect us from someone like this. If you haven't noticed, people like this are not concerned about breaking laws - they only care about fulfilling their own twisted agenda.
The only people that a gun-ban law impacts are the LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS, and their ability to protect themselves.

Some people may have a twisted agenda but others are almost certainly just trying to think of anything that may slow down a criminal. By using words like "idiot" I'm afraid one alienates people who might otherwise willingly consider any logical, non-insulting opinion.
If you talk to a person there is at least some chance they could listen to what you have to say. If you call then a moron and then start talking to them, well, not so much.

The idiots Hunter is talking about are the one's that already know what's best for us and have no intention or care to listen to what we have to say. To them we are the idiots for not drinking the kool aid. In all honesty I think I know what's best for myself and my family and have listened to about all I'm willing to listen to so I'll be the idiot on this side of the issue! ;D
We can talk back and forth all we want and yes we may listen to each other if it is presented in a polite way but if one thinks the folks on the hill give a flip about any opinion but their own (unless it hurts their re-election chances) one may be foolin themself.
I keep hearing Obama say "the majority of Americans want this", and "the polls show". The polls don't mean spit, I can do a poll and have it come out anyway I want.
Somebody get me a water! ;D

Well said Striperjon and Bigjon, now for the rest of the story;
In my opinion we have spoke too softly for too long, we've worried about hurting someones feelings, well guess what, my feelings have been hurt. I am sick and tired of hearing how I should feel or how I should speak or how I should be tolerant. I'm with Hunter, I'm mad. The founders of this country knew that a government with too much power was a dangerous thing, they put checks in place to keep them in line. The United States government (not any particular party) has gotten too big for it's britches. We have sit back while they took our hard earned money and redistributed it to people able but too damn lazy to work. We've bought houses for other people that we ourselves couldn't afford ourselves. We've bailed out banks and the auto industry. Now they want to take away my right to defend those I love in whatever way I see fit. The days of catching more flies with honey are over, we ourselves have been "caught". Once again, I'm with Hunter, I'm mad as hell.
