Take your pick....they don't even know what they're doing. With all the weather changes, hot then cool again, rain then heavy rain, lake level rising and then falling, and wind blowing, the fish are confused. They are in all stages of the spawn, so just take your pick and go fishing.

Well it sounds like the bass are doing the same thing up there as they are down here, i haven't been to a lake lately enough to know whether they are in spawn or not

Are the bass still in spawn mode or are they in post spawn stage? you asked a similar question 3 days before this one in this thread: smlfishingforums.proboards.com/thread/5909/bass-on-bedsand received this answer. Are there any bass still on beds? I know when i was up there in early april some were on beds but we seen a bunch just cruising and some pretty nice sized one too. I know the biggest bass we ever caught was 4 pounds and I want try to find some bigger bass any suggestions? There are still Bass on the beds. Not all the Bass spawn at the same time. Some will still be on the beds as late as early June. If you "sight" fish the beds, you can see the bigger bass. When you do, just fish them and see if they bite. if you want to be a great bass angler, you gotta start paying more attention penhook. you have to take in every detail you can and learn how to apply it to your fishing. when someone gives you an answer, you need that information to stick in your brain for more than 3 days. im not trying to be hard on you here, im trying to let you know that if you want to be a great angler then you need to pay great attention to detail, and the info given to you, and also be able to put stuff together on your own. as for your question, the answer was already on here before you asked it, in a thread you created... the bass are still in all stages of spawn, as not every bass spawns at the same exact time but in a window of time...
