Well as some of you know, yellowdog is a good friend of mine (who is responsible for A LOT of my fishing addictions, i used to have a bass boat haha) Anyway, we had planned to fish this past weekend for a few weeks. So my brother and I headed down Thursday after work, last year I did not get the chance to go (my wife was due to go into labor at any day this time last year!) We fished hard on Friday to no avail. casting for a long time, found the bait but the fish didn't cooperate. Saturday morning we finally found them! We caught 2 giants and lost another 3 in total (there was a boat next to me from SML!!). Then went for some inshore critters and caught my personal best flounder! All in all was a great time with great friends! I hope to see you all in the fall. When S ept. gets here i will be back at the lake come say hey! i am in the 2200 Bulls Bay w/ 150 Zuke

Admittedly I had drum envy when I saw you land that first one. Then we got some of our own and they wore us out ! Nice fish and nice boat !

Fish were caught in Oriental NC. And Charlie, wish we got to speak more but maybe we will get together again sometime (at the lake or otherwise), I had drum envy as well, i threw my arm off Friday with no return. After we caught that first fish we went above everyone else and hooked up again. Then proceeded to miss the next 3 but that's how it goes. We were fortunate to both be able to land one. At one point we had bait all under us that we could physically see, then we saw one of those big girls swim through them right beside the boat!

Yep we moved way up and saw much more bait and got hooked up pretty quick. Water was glass and the heat was turned up to max. Hopefully i will catch up with you at one of the mafia tourneys this year.

Let me get this right, I show you where to catch them, and then you blame me for your fishing addiction?! Ha-ha! They are a blast to catch and you can throw your arm off casting. I should know. We went 2 1/2 days without a bite this past weekend. Guess I shouldn't complain, we did well the previous few trips. Congrats Charlie on the fish you caught. Hope you get back down soon.

I blame you for my saltwater addiction.. But it's a good kind of blame, kind of like if you told me to buy a lottery ticket and I won! After all 3-4 years ago when we went to southport that is where it all started. After that bass sucked hahahah
