Fished from 6-12 ....lake was 604 and water temp was 75 and clear....74 above tri county and the water has a Lil stain to it but very fishable....some trash near tri county but nothing major....Largemouth we're on and shallow till 8 am and then smith dumped about a foot of water in and poof the fish disappeared .....saw 2 small schools of stripers feeding on top this morning...one below goat island and 1 above tri county...... They didn't stay up but maybe 5 minutes..... Leesville is full of white perch....just tie on a crank bait and cast for the bank....all the large mouth came on a shakey head rig....and I lost 3 on a rattle trap.......seems the fish came down from the top and bit the lure and never got the hooks

Man he just told you in your own post about the 3 pipes he aint been out in a good while. Read ya threads. Honestly nobody on here fools with leesville much but myself, grasscutter, and dogsbestfreind and none of us have fished in over a month there. My last trip was SML. Downlines and alewives and search for fish on your electronics. From what I hear the lake is a absolute mess and will be for awhile Im sure with AEP concentrating on SML cleanup right now. Leesville's always a mess though

I fish Leesville about once a week. I find the water to be hit in miss regarding floating debris . I will say loading and unloading is ATROCIOUS. It takes me 15 min to move sticks and debris from under my boat before I can load it. Seems like 1 hour the water is beautiful, the next Im trolling through a forest...really sucks. I fish from the dam back to the marina, hitting banks and boat docks.I fish predominately for largemouth. I have yet to be skunked and the average is about 3 lbs. Been using deep diving cranks tossed to the bank and back . Most fish are in the sunken trees about 5 feet off the bank. I hit the lack from 5:30p-9:00p typically...Ive spotted a TON of schools of baitfish however little is chasing it...not sure what thats about.

I came across 2 young bucks ina rather fancy boat about a month ago check out the variety of posts in this very forum .. Im catching fish. Ive been hitting it about once a week. Have caught a number of nice largemouth , stripers and a nice walleye over the past few weeks. What techniques are you using and where on the lake are you fishing?

What else would a married guy be doing at 2-3a on a Friday night (ok, Saturday am)? Catching bait of course Hope to have this very site about this time tom. Looking forward to bringing an ol friend on the water with me and put him on some fish... time will tell though.

Good luck - took 3.5 hours to get those last night - dang full moon. They did seem to thicken up about 1 am. Heard the early am was tough also today.

Thanks man, Gonna try the same ol routine again to see if I can call it a pattern. 1pm is a little early for me but figured any time on the water is better than time doing honey dooooos. Seems like the lurkers are very abundant..I almost wonder if I should continue to share my recent successes .
