Storm Jointed Thundersticks - blue/silver or black/silver are very common Rapala F18 - Vampire color is popular Bomber Long A - blue
The Thunderstick "lip" will break easy when you bang them off the rip-rap.... So have a few extra.

I use all those and have had good luck with shallow red fins in blue/chrome and also the storm kickin sticks in blue chrome.

I would hate to think that I had to go fishing without a cotton cordell ripplin' red fin. blue/chrome, black/chrome. produced more fish for me than any other. you will break off the bills!! better stock up! if you only have one left, and your buddy has none, this plug could make you an easy $50.00 while the stripers are busting shad on the banks!! lol

I went out and bought a few of the Cotton Cordell & Bomber Long A lures in the colors that you guys suggested. I do appreciate the help with that. The thing is, I grabbed the Bomber Magnum Long A 7" size and the Cotton Cordell 7" size and after re-reading the posts here I see you never mentioned Magnum Long A and you guys were probably talking about the 4" or 5" sizes. Will the 7" size work or should I get the 4" or 5" size?

Hello..I have been on the lake a lot here flatly bass fishing at night.. after our tourney is over we tend to striped fish for a while.. I am certain all these lures these folks are telling you about work well but I can tell you the bait that will drive them crazy..if you don't have three zara spooks on your boat you are crazy!! Walk the dog with em hard but not to fast!!!! We caught over thirty stripers one night...the biggest was 38 inches 21.5 lbs.. we caught several close to that.... you don't have to hear them busting or hear baitfish.. jus fish deep water points in the main channel that have rip rap..stay far far away and make long casts.. after you fish one poo t for 15 min. Move to another and jus go back n forth between the 4 closest points to you..by no means am I a striper expert but to be honest I cant stand em..(unless they are over thirty lbs then its fun) :-) your Sara spoons need to be light blue with the pinkish color on the sides.. THE BEST THING I CAN TELL YOU IS STAY WAY WAY AWAY FROM THE POINT.. YOU NEED TO BE ZINGING THAT SPOOK ATLEAST THIRTY YARDS OR MORE .. AND THROW IT RIGHT TO THE POINT... GOOD LUCK!! PM ME IF YA WANT A FEW HOT SPOTS I HAVE ENCOUNTERED FOR STRIPERS

Great info cflamesman - thanks for sharing. I've heard good things about the Zara spooks when they are hitting topwater during the day but not heard of them at night.

Thanks for the info cflamesman! - I will definitely grab a couple of them. It looks like the G-Finish/Blue Shad fits the bill from the description you gave. I think I might get the G-Finish Pearl/Red Head as well.. Ive always had good luck with red heads

I've heard a lot about that spook at night. Like many I've caught them on an assortment of baits, a good part of the ones mentioned above. But yall left out the rattle trap, wakebait, and spinnerbait with a big colarado blade. My all time favorite is a homemade hybrid I call the redbug. Anyone ever tried the crazy crawlers ?
