I put in at Hardy on Wednesday morning. We marked a ton of fish in the stretch by the trusses. Only landed one (26 inches) but had a handful of strikes/misses, all on downlines. Throughout the day I watched countless fish on the finder come up to the bait, check it out, and swim off. They were super curious but being super picky. The fish I landed hit a 5" ale right beside marker R80. I had lines in with 4-6 inch shad and lines with 4-6 inch ales. I fish the Moorman/Hardy area a lot and the fish have definitely started to school up again in that area way more this week than in the past month. Water on Wed. was 51-52 in that whole stretch. Morning (day break to 9am or so) and evening (5-7pm) seem to have the fish eating more than inspecting. Middle of the day the fish were just super picky. Hope this helps.
BTW- In a new yak for Spring!! Its black and red so if you see me give me a wave!

Mytoyz- I just switched from a Native MantaRay 12 to a Jackson Cuda 14. Part of the reason I went with the Cuda was to be able to stand and sight cast and throw the cast net a little easier and with a bigger net. You should definitely try it in a yak... Kinda like bow hunting- really levels the playing field!! plus nothing like a nice fish pulling you around like you are skiing!!
