Went down through brookneal today in the middle of what seemed to be a tornado with the sun shining. Only caught one white bass, on a white fluke Jr with 1/4 Oz jig head. Not sure why im putting this up but I know avid river guys like myself like to know whats going on.

If it wasnt for the rain we had Sunday , we'd have trouble going down from brookneal. Water level is horrible.

Well that is about par, meaning nuts. People I did some work for here on SML are complaining that they have to step UP to their floating dock, the lake is so high, while downstream it is a drought. Maybe they are making you pay for last fall, when it was 6' low up here.

Actually its fed regulated by the EPA . For the soil erosion , so they have to let water go. Plus the Vdgif makes them let it out for the fish. People are always gonna complain about something. Ya just cant please everyone.

With the weather man calling for 1.5-2" of rain Thur night / Friday and SML at, or just over full pond, I expect some water will be coming that way

Crossed the river this eve in altavista...the rock pile above the Pitts ave bridge was barely visible ....that's a pretty good flow of water.... Maybe a foot to 18 inches above average
