fished leesville yesterday afternoon. looked for bait for a few hours, didnt pan out for me. ended catching 1 4lb, LM, 2 stripers best one 28in. on artificials.

Nice report. Ive never fished Leesvile side but have heard that guys go to the base of the dam and catch bait pretty easily. Not sure if they do it year round or if some parts of the year are better than others

i tell you what man during late July early August they hit the top water like crazy. This past summer, man oh man, my dad and i pulled up to our place while getting ready to put the boat in, and so we looked out and saw like what looked like wind about the size of a football feild and the thing is it wasnt moving, so when we looked closer we realized it was striper. OMG, it was amazing!!!!!! you could actually see from almost 70 yds away the shad jumping out of the water. And yes we went out and caught four in less than five min., i love that lake

that must have a site to see. i seen them bustin up shad one time, but i dont think it was as intense as what you witnessed.
