We didn't get on the water until around 11am, so bait was tough. But finally managed a 1/2 dozen moneymakers and 4 huge 14 inch gizzes. We passed over huge schools in the creek we were in with no takers at all. My new sidescan if flat out AWESOME. I have a very nice LCX111C HD for sale now--post soon. We passed over those fish 4 times with not one notice by them that our bait was even there. Skunked. We only fished till about 3 when my friend had to get back home. Not really enough time to do much. Had two guys and a young boy fishing for crappie in behind us and they had a striper hit a small creek minnow? Anyway the guy had ultra-light tackle, 5ft rod, with 6lb test line. He fought that fish for about 15 minutes and finally landed a nice 8-10 lb fish. That was fun to watch. I'm thinking those fish would of hit alewives, but I'll never know. Anyway first time out, both fish-finders, trolling motor, pumps and big motor all worked good--so all in all a great day! If it was so easy it'd be called "catchin and not fishin". Cheers, John

Glad you got out Striperjohn, I know you were "chompin at the bit" to try the new TRONICS. Hope we can hook-up soon, I'm tired of prepping this house for market. LATER!

Great report. Not much you can do if they have lock-jaw. Good news that everything on the boat worked.
