3/31 Easter Report Blackwater

Went to Leesville yesterday evening and got a tank full of nice size gizzards ranging from money makers to mack daddys. Wanted to fish alittle while but the boat was giving me troubles so I went ahead and put it on the trailer. Water temps on leesville yesterday ranged from 54 to 57. Put new Battery and Cables on it last night and headed out to Blackwater around 10 this morning. The weather had pushed through making it a slow morning. Water temps were 49 warming to 52. I caught 1 slot fish, and had a few swirls at my baits but no takers. Did lose one fish not paying attention to the boards. Sure was nice just to get back out on the water and just in time for spring fishing.

I'm surprised at those water temps at leesville .....almost tempted to try there in the morn instead of smith mt
