Great report and some nice looking fish.. The bite seems to be getting pretty good.. We caught 15 yesterday with most of them being in the 30" to 33" range. We didn't catch anything over 34".

Getting em on alewives FISHON? Heard ales have been the ticket this week, but I just can't bring myself to get any. We are not catching huge numbers on shad, but they're all studs give or take. I think we could pick up a few more on ales though and probably a few more studs too that aren't as hungry. I can see them nose my baits up but just wont always eat them. Too full I guess.

Yeah, the Alewives have been working well but, only the big juicy ones.

I actually had trouble filling up my tank with big Alewives. I think it was because of the full moon and because I was being a little lazy.

Yeah I've spent hours before picking thru lil ones to get 40 big ales. I'm nuts though. I've been lazy and haven't tried for em much since September. Biggest two 20+lb fish I've caught on SML came on alewives. But I'd still take a big shad for big fish any day.
