Hey everybody. Been pretty quiet around here. Was curious what the water temps are and if the shad have started spawning yet. Thanks in advance for any info.

Temps were a solid 64 Saturday night. A few ales starting to flip. These few cold nights will push it back a bit.

Said I was going to give a report if I went fishing this weekend. Well I tried to go but the bearings fell apart on my trailer shortly after pulling out of the driveway. At least I tried.

I got out Friday morning for about 5 hours, put in at Hardy, and fished several spots between Moormans and Lynville. It was overcast with a slight breeze and kinda chilly, had to grab a hoodie and put it on. Water clarity was pretty good, but got a bit more stained the further down I went, with water temps. in the low 60's. The fish were cooperative every spot I stopped, caught a total of 23, but only 2 may have gone 2 lbs., all the rest were about 1 to 1 1/2 lbs.. I didn't see any fish that I would say were actually on a bed, they seemed to be cruising around, not committed to anything yet. This week is calling for temps. in the 80's, so I'm expecting things to get real good real fast.

Finally made it out Sunday night. Fished from about 11pm until 3am. One under slot striper and one catfish. First time in the water in about 2 years. Was great just to get out there.
