Have been a member of the Kerr Proboard and hoped to learn a few new tricks. My sons want to fish SM and I know very little about it. Striper fish mostly with occasional Crappie and Catfish trips for the grandsons. Live in Madison NC. 5yrs retired as a Paramedic.

medik411, another fellow Kerr proboards coming aboard. Welcome. SML is a good lake but a totally different fishery compared to Buggs. There’s a few good guys on here that will share some great info as long as there’s info in return. Season and location is key on this lake for stripers.

Thanks herringbone, my wife loves Kerr and it has been my go to since I bought my boat. The 2 hour drive (especially the trip home) gets long for day trips. Only an hour to Penhook ramp. So am considering adding SM for a little closer trip. I promise to share what I learn and what, where, and how I catch or don't catch. A day on the water with lines in is always better than a day __________.
