Heading up this weekend for a few days of fishing. I know Craddock creek, Becky & Betty's creek (and a little of the surrounding area.
Just generally looking for a quick tip on what area of the lake to break down. Staying up in the State park area and looking more for a numbers trip taking some family out so I will be chasing schools. Curious what some of you think the recent rains will do...
Thanks

The rain will have had no effect.
Fish anywhere within a few miles of your location. Points adjacent to deep water, deep and/or isolated main lake and main creek channel docks, backs of the creeks morning and evening for schooling bass.
On the points, 8-15’ should be good with c rigs or similar. Some fish have been hanging off the ends and sides of the points, and they’ll eat a 2-3” damiki.
Dropshots around those docks will produce size and numbers.
Find pockets of bait in the evenings and follow them around. The bass will show. 2-3” soft jerk baits, same size walking topwaters, small swim baits, or small spoons will get them.

That's exactly what I was looking for. That is Lake Anna in a nutshell right now as well. You gave me some things to think on and reinforced what I already planned to do. Very much appreciated. Where do I send the check?

Post a report when you’re done. We all might learn something.

Here is my learning. I suck at adapting.
First day my first fish was all the way in the back of a large creek on a dock. THe next was in 15 feet of water on a brushy secondary point. I ran that stuff with nothing but tiny fish the rest of the day. Early and late they would school up and if you hit the timing right you had good topwater fun. The rest of the time was really hit or miss for, and mainly a miss. They schooled better on the main lake points vs the backs of creeks. Water temps around 77 degrees.
Lake was really busy where I was with the Big Bass tournament. Great lake!
