6/8, no bueno. Caught bait fairly easy before daylight. Mixed bag of gizzards, threadfins (mostly), and herring. Not big but not small (4”-6”). Pulled boards in water from the mouth of creeks to the main body. Mainly from Betty’s to Stoney Creek. Caught (1) lg mouth, had (6) or so pull backs, thinking lg mouth. Lost a couple at the end of the day, (1) lg mouth and (1) sm mouth at the boat.
Weather: Bluebird sky’s with Canadian fire haze. Wind out of the NW 5-10 AT: 60° to start, 75° to end WT: 73° to start, 75° to end
Report back after tomorrow morning outing.

Only put a couple of hours in this morning before I headed back to NC. Caught bait and was fishing by 7. Almost identical type and numbers of bait. Same for the weather. I put boards out just below Halesford Bridge running main lake banks. Got(2) bank side rods out and as I reached for the 3rd I had a screamer. Little 24”er. That got me pumped as I had a good run of bank that was real similar to where I caught that one, but then 2 hours passed by and not another sign. Alewives are still doing their thing as well.
