Fished Saturday from public up to bd still marked fish coming up to the small baits we were running but no bites went and caught some 6 to 8 inch gizzards thinking that might help. It didn’t but we did catch another 6 to 7 pound large mouth. When cranking up from the last spot we pulled we had put the landing net on top of the t top after catching a large mouth and that disappeared in the lake 100 bucks gone battling the wind dead bait tank battery hooked a jumper to trolling motor battery to finish out the day skunk is still on the boat!

Were you in the creeks or channel? Fished the same areas at the same time and saw no shortage of active stripers. They were more than willing to eat 3” crappie baits, and I had several instances where I purposely speed reeled away from them and they’d follow it right to the boat. Also had several strip my jig of plastic while pulling it away from them.

Check SML bass fishing and striper fishing Facebook pages. There was someone who caught a new throw net while fishing a bass tournament and was looking for the owner.

John I pulled creeks and some out on main channel both days choo I seen that but he was talking about the rope on a throw net mine was an extendable landing net, I appreciate it though! It was still nice being out on the lake after working straight for over two months hope this weekend I can get into some fish!
