Welcome - thought you were someone else for a minute - know a StriperSniper tackle down in NC that makes some good trolling lures and plastics.
Would love to hear about Lake Anna action as well as any trips you make down to SML.

Welcome aboard. I agree with Mward, I would love to hear about Lake Anna. Let us know when you will be on Smith Mounain Lake and we can steer you in the right direction.

We were killing some fish up until about 2 weeks before Xmas, when the water temp. took a dive from 46 to about 41 deg. .We were catching fish on 5" to 7" gizzard shad . You guys have alewives and we have blue back herring (look a lot alike). Could not find herring on the lake anywhere (preferred over thread fin). We were having to use thread fin shad. So many thread fin that you did not need sonar to catch them.Well to make a long story short, the stripers hung around the thread fin, making them hard to catch. Had a big shad kill due to the cold water temp. and every sea gull in the state was at lake Anna. Bait is starting to show back up, water temp. on the rise, hope to hit the water Sat.
