Went to Penhook boat ramp today. Buzzards everywhere. All over trucks and trailers, destroying trailer carpet, windshield wipers and door, window trim. Fishing pier, boat ramp and dock was covered. Took several pics I would like to send to the right person that might help. Would anyone know who that might be ? Thanks

No idea who to tell but it’s been that way all summer, for several years now. The game commission maintains a fleet there, certainly they know what’s going on.

My curious mind wonders what they are attracted to? Trash? Dead shad/fish ? Most animals are driven by a solid food source with limited dangers. My first thought is some kind of sound blast that may scare them away. 2nd thought would be maybe setting up some kind of owl / hawk decoy to keep them off your boat/vehicle.

They have destroyed the hood of my truck Please elaborate. What are they attracted too? What was the damage from Poop , scratches ? If they are using vehicles to roost maybe some kind of deterrent would help.

They literally chew on the vehicles there. Just bored buzzards that’s like the taste of rubber.
Lead poisoning would take care of them.

Pics have been forwarded to the VA Land and Water Access. Owl decoys do not work. I put one on the roof of my truck and they ate the legs off the decoy. I think the problem has been created by those nasty bathrooms that stink up the whole place. Don't know if cleaning them more often wud help but last time I was there the smell was terrible. Wonder how they are allowed to operate the way the do?
