I'm new to striper fishing and so I'm trying to learn as much as I can so my family can have a good time when we are at the lake. When you guys pull umbrella rigs, do you typically use hooks on all of the arms or just a couple? I have found some restrictions on these rigs in other places but have not seen any on SML. Thanks for any advice and information you can provide. Hopefully, the weather turns soon, I see it hasn't been great for you guys thus far. It looks like it may turn in the next few weeks.

IF i run umbrella rigs I use a hook in all. Be carefull pulling them, the lake is full of submerged trees about 25' down I think is what they have cut them to when they filled the lake.

You are going to need a few things... One: a rig retriever Two: Stiff rods and decent reels. I used to prefer line counter reels and good braided line. Three: A lowrance and knowledge on how to use it. Fish ID off, sensitivity 90 percent
There are some old post on here that will help you fingure out speed vs. line out to give you an idea of how deep you are running. If I recall 75 feet out at 3 mph is like 20 feet down. I could be totally wrong. Haven't touched a spinning/ casting rod in a long time. Anyway speed up when you come to trees and rock bars, it'll raise your rigs up in the water column.
