Water: 80ish and stained Wx: clear, calm, 80ish, NE wind when it did blow 1pm-6pm Lynville to Grimes
My daughter and I fished the afternoon, just out fishing for whatever. Had crappie/bluegill rods, bass rods, and a couple striper rods on deck. Basically stood on the TM and fished for whatever we found.
Ended up catching 20-30 crappies off brush and docks, mostly small but a few 12&13ā fish. Tried minnows for them, but they wanted still jigs or swinging jigs.
Also got a handful of bass, both LM and SM. Docks and isolated shallowish ~10ā brush. Senko, shaky head creatures and Ned rig.
Ran into a small school of small stripers that had bait run up into a cove. They came up several times, we chased them with Livescope trying to get my daughter one on topwater. No luck.
And finally got a 10-12# flathead on a shaky head.
The lake was very calm for a perfect weather Saturday. I was totally shocked.
Nice day out there.

Wow. Calm? On a Saturday? I should be so lucky.
You know, some days it's fun just to go out and fish for whatever, like you did. No plans, no expectations. Just go. Y'all managed to put a good day together. Didn't take long for the water to warm up, did it?

Sounds like an awesome day! Took my wife out the 6/4 as well and caught 18-20 crappie off a single dock. No giants but did keep 11.
