I have not been to SML in years and a few friends and I are coming to the lake this weekend on a fishing trip. We are hoping to catch stripers. I am not looking for any secret fishing spot, but could someone let me know the best area of the lake to fish this weekend? I was thinking the Roanoke near Hales Ford Bridge, but if I should be closer to the dam, please let me know.

Around the bridge can still be OK. Moving closer to the dam should increase your odds. Anywhere below Bernards should be decent.

I agree w/ R22.
It’s lame, but take note of where all the striper boats are heading just before dawn. And then go to that general area of the lake and start looking.
