Fished the upper Roanoke. Had to bounce around a lot, a few fish here and there. Found them from 2’ - 20’, all on brush and docks. Figure we caught about 60-70, all on jigs. Every color seemed to catch a few but monkey milk was consistently good. Biggest was 15”.
I believe they’re either full on spawn or chasing bait out away from cover. Most of the good spots I have were empty and the spots we found that had fish didn’t have large concentrations.
We saw a ton of striper activity.
