4/14/22 report

Fished the dark side again this morning with my father-in-law. Fished 3 hrs. Caught 7, lost 3. 2 slot fish and smallest was 25”. Ran ales on all lines today. All the action was on planers and corks. .4 mph troll in 20’- 45’ of water. Followed the shoreline but wasn’t right on the bank. Marked quite a few fish today. Had a surprise double while landing a fish that wiped out all our planer board lines before we noticed it. As much as I hate untangling lines, I love the pandemonium! Kept 4 for dinner.

First, great job Michigan. I'm from Ohio but my passion for fishing started in Coldwater, Michigan. I hope you enjoyed the striper feast. Btw.. Junkee is from Michigan.

Second, there is certainly nothing wrong with keeping your catch. I don't remember ever being chastised on this site for doing so. Had I been, I would have included pictures of me throwing freshly cut up carcasses into the lake. We always referred to our smaller catches as "eaters." And, I didn't take John's post as being negative. He was just reminiscing. John is one of the best knowledge providers on this site. Please don't chase him away. Although, I doubt he is going anywhere. I just wanted to let him know how much I value his knowledge.

Third, I've never known a time when all people just get along. Matter of fact, if there was such a time, it sounds really boring. But I will admit, it does seem that we are turning our children into pussies.

Finally, stop wearing underwear! Speak your mind and free yourself from the shackles that bind you.

LOL, This is the way this site should be. A little glimpse of old times. Great catch michiganstatespartan glad you were able to get on some fish and provide a great meal.

I love seeing all the new stuff great work on the fish!
I took off tomorrow so time for me and dad to get on the lake again hope to be there by four tomorrow evening pull baits till dark and the do some flukes to the banks
