Watauga River TN April 9

I took 4 of my boys on a float trip on the Watauga tailwater through the town of Elizabethton on Saturday, April 9. The weather was cold and windy, with occasional snow showers. We only managed one rainbow trout, caught on a beadhead nymph below an indicator.

One of the most scenic rivers in America. If you get down that way again you should try the Holston.

Indeed. Never fished it, but hear the South Holston Lake tail water is incredible trout fishing.
