Well the weather this weekend was a little better than a month ago when we postponed - but not much I don’t think….
41 teams, over 100 anglers, 7 or 8 youth and 7 lady anglers competed for over $5000 in cash plus other prizes
We had 8 youth competing today with the top three placing…
1st Place - Ryleigh - Team NightWave - 38.5”
2nd Place - Wyatt - Team HIS Bounty - 33.5”
3rd Place - Kayden - Team Ruffin It - 33.25”
Top 6 money places along with Big Fish
1st Place - Team Gizzard Wizzards - 36.5” / 37” - 73.5” total - $1200
2nd Place - Team Topwater Rushers - 33.5” / 36” - 69.5” total - $900
3rd Place - Team Bert - 33.25” / 33.25” - 66.5” total - $550
4th Place - Team HIS Bounty - 32.75 / 33.5” - 66.25” total - $425
5th Place - Team Squidhound - 34.25” / 31.5” - 65.75 total - $325
6th Place - Team Ruffin It - 33.25” / 31.5” - 64.75” total - $225 - tie for 6th broken by longest of 2 fish
Big Fish - Team NightWave - 38.5” - $900
Smaller Striper - Team Lakehound - 17.75” - $100
Big Bass - Team Chasin’ Tail - 21.5” - $280
4 non-placing teams won their entry fee back
Thanks to all our Striper Mafia tournament anglers as well as others around the SML area for their generous contributions as we collected over 360 jars of peanut butter for the school lunch backpack program.
A big thanks to Sea Tow Smith Mountain Lake for assistance with the collection and transport, and to Bobo's Thumper and Fitec "Super Spreader" Cast Nets for donating prizes used in the raffle.
