Got me a trip planned there next weekend. Hoping to catch some good Pickerel and maybe even a decent bass or trout. Any tips would be much appreciated!

This time of year has always been great for me there, except for trout.
Have caught several citation pickerel, LMB, SMB, and yellow perch pulling planer boards up on shallow flats using shiners and alewives.
Have also done well casting jerkbaits and topwater baits on the same shallow flats.
And when the fish aren’t up shallow, dropshots in the deeper water around the flats has always been good.
I like to fish from the islands up to the river.

Thanks! I’m watching the weather closely, although the temp keeps dropping as the coming weekend gets near.
