Straight to the point how far up the river {blackwater} do i need to go to find a good population of crappie?

Gills creek would be my first (and maybe only) choice at this time of year if fishing the dark side.
The cliffs area usually has some in the backs of creeks and coves nearby.
Magnum and above is the heart of the population.

Gills creek is good but Poplar Creek and Standiford creek are my go to spots this time of year. Spider rigging and long line trolling are good methods right now
