AT 16-35 WT 38 Full sun, no wind Grungy water but 2’ viz
Launched at sunrise and had my first slab less than 5 minutes later, sharpshooting deep in a creek channel. Lots of fish suspended and they were real nice size. Moved into some deep brush and found a whole lot more fish,, so I fished it a while catching many. Explored some other deep and shallower brush, with mostly the same results. Left them biting at 10:30 with 15 keepers for dinner.
They wanted 3.5” soft baits today, in a pale chartreuse color. Had never caught a fish on that bait until today! You never know…Tried several go-to colors and sizes but none produced the same results. Dead sticking or “raising” them very slowly got strikes. Subtle takes. Missed a good many, never felt them until they spit it out.

Good report. Can’t wait to get back on the water. Still diagnosing motor issues.

Thanks for the report, in haven’t been on the water since last week in December, just can’t find the time. Be glad when the time changes back to daylight savings, give me some time to go then.
