Sorry so late getting back. Not much to report. Tried a few down lines and planner boards at first but found large amounts of bait really deep. Started seeing stripers cutting thru the baits so pulled everything in and started jigging when we saw them cutting thru the bait. Did this all day catching 2 around 34 inches. both fish when caught threw up lot of small little finger size threadfin. I guess your bait just had to be in the way of them cutting thru. we did see a lot of small groups of striper on the banks and did some casting but no luck at all. Water temp was 44 and cloudy with a good breeze blowing. Going back on the 19th hope i can report more. Question for you crappie fishermen when do we start looking to crappie fish.

Were you using live scope for the striper jigging?
Started crappie fishing Saturday and had a good day considering conditions. Soon they’ll come up in the water and suspend chasing bait. Then after a couple weeks they’ll push to brush for spawning. If you find them, you can catch them.
