Alright everyone, got a question or two. I recently purchased a Lowrance HDS 9 Carbon. First time having anything with these capabilities. It has the ability to show me engine data. I have an ‘07 Mercury Optimax. First question, does anyone have this unit and understand the wiring from the power cable harness. Next question, does anyone know if the harness from the Optimax that runs to the ignition power has what it needs to be able to get the two connected to be able to get the information to the Lowrance. Lowrance book says blue/yellow are output, orange/green are input. These are the wires for NMEA 0183, and I’m assuming these will give me this information, but I’m 100% green on these types of things with boat electronics. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
