When I got here last week, I assumed the bass and striper would be in the creek arms and backs of coves. It’s taken a while but I finally have been finding them main lake cruising the shallows in schools of 4-5. The LMB are super spooky in this water with 6-10 foot visibility. Spooked quite a few hogs. They seem to respond to a jerkbait fished like a swim bait, super slowly. Maybe a turn per second. This clear water has given me the opportunity to realize just how spooky the big ones can be.
Found stripers busting on shad at sunset on a main lake point. Caught 3 15-18” stripers within 10 minutes. They moved on pretty quickly.
Anyone else had similar experiences?

That’s the typical pattern this time of year. Some creeks are having good action now.
Usually by early November I encounter fish busting shad as far up the creeks as they can go. Like, way up the creeks. Bass and stripers. Usually early morning, once the sun hits the water they’re moving back out a bit.
