Not as familiar with the lower lake as I am with upper lake. How muddy do Craddock, Bull Run, Gills, and lower Blackwater get ? The upper lake will be a total mess almost to Indian Point.

I’m not a hundred % familiar with this lake, but the rains we just got, you might be still getting, gonna be lots of muddy water flowing. Seems this has been the norm a couple of years now. Fall gets here, heavy rains prevail.

Gills can pump out some mud.
The others don’t have huge inflows and don’t get as bad. Plus they’ve got a lot more area to dilute any mud.

Went out of Oak Grove at daylight yesterday, headed down the lake, stopping about half way to State Park. Water was a little stained but not bad, about 2' of visibility, and water temp was 72*. Those largemouth were liking the topwater bite, wife and I fished 4 hours and then headed home to watch them Hokies.
