Water: 75 deg and clear. 3’ viz Air: HOT Wind 10-15 from the North Full sun
It’s been a few weeks since my daughter and I fished seriously, so today was our day.
Hit the upper Roanoke at 10am and left at 1pm. Boated ~30 crappies and kept a dozen right around 10” each. We found them in all 3 coves we checked, scattered on any piece of disconnected brush deeper than 15’. Some of the brush that held fish looked like just a couple twigs sticking off the bottom. It’s a bunch of fun watching a 6 year old work crappies on the screen. They learn so fast.
We noticed several bass holding right in front of docks, barely out of plain sight. We thought to try them with senkos, but it was getting hot and we had plans.
It was a nice trip.
