Did a short trip last night on Roanoke side between beaverdam and bridge. Flatheads are starting to hit good. Caught several on live blue gills the biggest being 21lbs.

Caught a 18.5 lber out of a laydown the otherday while trying to locate crappie. My hook was nearly straight and on 6lb line it took me a few minutes to get that fish to the boat. Was near Hales Ford.
