Super cool dude. Looks like it would be really satisfying to see and feel that end product. Nice work.

Super cool dude. Looks like it would be really satisfying to see and feel that end product. Nice work. This one fought me a bit.... had the lower wrap done and glued up the reel seat and while it was drying it somehow shifted a few degrees off center of the wrap - more than I was willing to just let go - most may not have even noticed it but I knew it was there. Tried to remove the seat but the epoxy used is good stuff. Was almost successful in cutting it loose with a dremel until I got just a hair too deep and into the blank might have comprised the integrity of the blank even with it glued up in the reel seat... so, that one got scrapped and I got to start over. Perhaps just as well as I was able to tweak the colors a little as the first go didn’t have enough contrast. A few other challenges to overcome along the way but I’m happy with the outcome & hope it’s new owner will catch a bunch of fish with it!
