Well let me just start off by saying Livescope is incredible!!!! Only had my unit for about two weeks and only fished with it 4 times, but I’m starting to figure it out. This thing is a game changer in the crappie world. With that being said I Took the wife out today for a little us time. Started out up river near crafts church. Water heavy stain, 51 degrees. Located some fish holding tight to some brush on main channel, was only able to catch 3 of them, hard to keep boat positioned with a stiff breeze and boat traffic. One of the 3 was a citation though, my wife caught it. Her first citation crappie, it measured 15”. We decided to head down lake and look for cleaner water, fished a spot near standiford creek. This spot was loaded. Huge school of crappie on some brush that was on creek channel ledge. Caught 41 and had to quit to get on home to make a family gathering. I feel for sure we could have put 100 in the boat if we could have stayed. It was really cool watching fish chase jigs and hit them on the Livescope. It almost felt like I was cheating, my wife commented that this ain’t fishing, this is video gaming!! Hahaha whatever you wanna call it, I call it fun!!!!! All fish released to fight another day

Awesome! They’re really eating for sure. Planning to go tomorrow..
I’m right there with you on livescope. It’s cheating. Soon you’ll be able to tell what size crappie are about to eat.

Yep! I’m hoping some move shallow, I want to test the capability of livescope when they’re tough to find on sonar. Worked on some bass in the back of a cove like 3-6’ deep yesterday. I’m hoping it works as well on crappies.

That’s awesome. I have a really dumb question; I’m pretty savvy on my electronics but I cannot find out to get the shortcuts on the screen for gain and zoom... I must be missing something stupid. I just tried mine out for the first time last night, I found a bunch of small something!

I can’t really help ya, mine had it on there when I used it first time. Is your Garmin unit a touchscreen?

It is. It’s the Uhd, so it may not have that option. Would just be easier than going into the menu each time!

I wanted to change the shortcuts on my screen but couldn’t figure it out. They were on there from the factory but wanted to put color gain on as well. No luck. 93sv UHD

Thank you, I am going to look at it!
I’m interested how the livescope will help or work when casting for Striper during the ale spawn... 🤔🤔

Thanks for the help, that got it. There was an update that was needed, when I checked the other day it said it wasn’t available. Once I did that I get all the cool features!
Now to find some crappie with it hahah

Thank you, I am going to look at it! I’m interested how the livescope will help or work when casting for Striper during the ale spawn... 🤔🤔 I think it will be quite telling in perspective mode. I was checking out some main lake points the other day with it and could see stripers swimming within 40’ of the boat. Even when I had it in forward mode, I could watch and follow them swim up and down the spine of the point. Next weekend I am going to dedicate some time to working the banks for striper with it and casting artificials during the day. My plan is to leave it in perspective as I cruise along likely banks and points, and see if I can pick off these fish as I see them.

Let me know how that works, I haven’t purchased the perspective mount yet.. after buying this thing I’ve been hundred dollared to death hahah!! I had to buy a beefy ram mount to fabricate the pole I mounted it on.
I have the 0 degree mount pointing “down” which actually can see forward x amount of feet.
I’m still learning it
