Just picked up a 2016 Carolina Skiff 18 JVX. The only thing it is missing is rod holders. Do you guys have any recommendations on what rod holders I should install. Also looking for a used bait tank.

Do you have rails on your skiff?

My 2 cents, I think I’d add rails for the versatility of the racks. Plus this will eliminate multiple holes in your boat, one and done with the holes from the rail. As far as rod holders, wide variety out there. It depends on what style of fishing you do. Straight down lines, planers, free lines, etc. Need to put some thought into it before drilling a bunch of holes. The rails added will give you plenty of options.

One flexible option is the Cisco style rod holder with tracks. A couple of options out there from Cannon and others as well. www.ciscofishingsystemsltd.com/tube style or they also have cradle options.

I put Cannon rod holders on my boat--very similar to the Cisco tube style in the link. A big advantage for me was that the rod butt doesn't extend into the interior of the boat. My boat is pretty small/narrow, particularly around the t-top, so that helped a bunch.

If you want to have some rails made, Joey Scruggs at Scruggs Stainless & Aluminum Works can fix you up

I just got a couple of these for my 2012 Carolina skiff 21’dlv. So far I like them. The picture is not my boat.
