Message from Khris Bradley, outgoing SMSC President
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. With the Governor's Orders still in effect and not being allowed to have more than 10 people in a gathering, we are still holding off on having our monthly club meetings. I understand the frustration but appreciate
everyone's patience on this matter. Look for an email to be sent out hopefully soon on when the next meeting will be.
For the time being, please hold off on sending your Club dues.
Hopefully life will be returning more to "normal" and it will facilitate having meetings once again. However, in order to do so we must have an active leadership board. As you know we did not have our annual elections in November since we could not hold a meeting. There are 4 board members, including myself, whose term has expired and have elected not to pursue another term.
The Club needs your help. If you value the Club and its mission, we need people to step up and help lead things forward. At the first meeting of 2021 this will be
the only topic - getting others involved. Serving on the board in the past does not preclude you from doing so again, and your experience would be very valued now.
If you have had any thoughts regarding joining the leadership of the Club but have questions on what it entails, etc - please reach out to me - I would be more than happy to discuss with you. I call on each and every member to give strong consideration to helping take a leadership role in the SMSC, or else the Club may be in a position in which it must close its doors.
