Hello everyone! I'm Kenny, from Logan, WV. My family has had a home at SML since the mid 80's on Craddock Creek in the back cove of Mitchell's Marina. Been fishing on SML for several years in the past. My Uncle Ed Wood used to take me out quite a bit, but since his illness and passing I haven't been out since 2001. Most of the guys we fished with have passed, no longer fish or I have lost contact with (David McCallister, SilverFox, Billy Tom Brady, Fish Jocky, Jim Salley and Wally Wagner (neighbor) didn't know if anyone here knew any of those folks but what a great group of fishermen!). My father and I just purchased a Tracker Targa V-18. We hope to pick it up at Conrads this weekend. Going to be a bit rusty getting bait and relearning all the techniques again. Just found this website it looks great! Hope to see a few of on the lake soon. Thanks! Kenny Z.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Yeah I'm looking forward to some spring fishing in Craddock Creek! Like to find a few fish like the last one I caught at the lake! I tried to put a pic of it on here hopefully it will show up. I caught it July 5th 2001, it weighed in at 31.8 lbs and was 42" long! Biggest I've ever caught! I'd like to just get in a decent mess of 5-15lbs to have some filets! It's been too long since I last had some good fish to eat! Attachments:

Nice fish - wish I had the chance to fish SML before the fish kill that hit a few years after you caught that one. Hopefully we are on the way back to something close to those days - At least where we can see some more consistent 30 lbers being caught (and released . Heck, I'd like to see some consistent 20+ lbers

mward, that big fish kill was a big reason we quit fishing. Then my uncle got pretty sick, and passed a year or so later. With him gone and me just graduating college trying to find a job. It was pretty much impossible to fish. But now that my dad has retired and I'm stable (for now fingers crossed) we are wanting to get back out and fish quite a bit more. Plus I can't believe I didn't mention this earlier my 5 year old daughter loves to fish! So I can't wait for her to see or catch a stripper! Some of my best memories are from fishing with my dad and uncle on that lake, can't wait to make some more with my own children and someday grandkids!

Nothing wrong with that - train them right when they are young
