Got out in the new boat today and caught bait for tomorrow. Put in at Hardy and scouted my way down to the top of S-curves. Seems like all bait was 15ft and deeper. Filled the tank with 7-10” pretty easy. Noticed it was fairly easy to find in all the creeks I checked. Tapped net did the work for me. Water temp:44° – 45° Air temp: 48°

water's got that artic green shade to it. yep, it's winter. looks like it's cleared up nicely. have driven by the Hardy ramp a number of times. looks like a decent set-up from what i could see. how are the ramps? is there a place to tie off?

Hardy is pretty nice. Well nice compared to moormans which is my normal launch this time of year. Plenty of spots to tie off but stay to the right coming out of the cove and swing the turn to the bridge wide right, it gets shallow on the left fast.

The only downfall is the parking at Hardy. It can get busy/crowded on nice weekends, lots of Roanoke boater traffic there.
Was my home ramp a while. Good fishing nearby nearly year round.
