Well, Thought I would send a shout out to some of the die hard originals from a few years back. Miss the conversations of Stiped Yam Ready2fish dragging4striper, bentrod, mward, JB, JT, trollerdenden, baitjunkie, hillbilly and more. I've been dry docked for a couple years trying to get my final boat ready. Keep watching the board for reports, chatter, conversation and such and it seems to be lacking. Miss the screen shots, pictures, stories and banter. Hope that this isn't the downside of a website that has helped thousands of people enjoy the few pleasures of life. I'll run my mouth as soon as I can get the boat running longer than ten seconds. I did get a great blowup around September just upstream from the Hardy ramp. Had to use the trolli.g miter, didn't get to do a lot of scouting. Y'all please keep it going, miss y'all!

Same here tblspoon - unfortunately for me it’s a result of only getting to fish like 4 times last year - and I think only one of those on my boat and on SML.... between work travel at the start of the year, COVID lockdown, rotator cuff surgery and then the actual COVID
I’m hoping to rectify that for myself in 2021 and like you hope to have stuff to post here and hope others will as well

I will try and post a little more - resolution for the new year.
We recently sold the home we had for many years here, and upgraded to little better place on the lake. Decided it was time to make the move towards permanent residence. The wife and I have been planning and preparing for 2020 to be the year we made changes in our life for a long time, but of course no way to have expected 2020 to be what it was. But we adjusted and with faith and help from above, we are making it happen
As for fishing, I missed the fall season. I fished a couple days ago and it was a skunk. A trip before that several weeks back we caught only a couple, but my buddy did catch a 19lb fish on a swimbait using one of his personally made lures. Nice fish-
Happy New Year to everyone, lets hope its a much better year for all

I wish the board would come back to life also. I'll start...... Fished November 28 to December 2nd. (5 days) Water temp 57-59 degrees. Waaay to warm for that time of year. Started out looking for bait. Second creek, thousands of 1 to 1 1/2 inch bait. Got ready to head out, and the lake exploded. Was in 4' of water and you could look over the side of the boat and see stripers everywhere. They stayed in there feeding all day long, for 5 days. The fun part, (I was the only boat in there) most of the fish were in the 15 to 22 lb. class. Caught a bunch, ( 6, 20lb to a little bigger) broke off some, missed some. Haven't seen that many pig stripers and pig bass (caught 7of them) that shallow in a long time. Just got lucky, I guess. Just one of those trips that doesn't happen often. Mward has some pics, maybe he could post them. Sorry Mike, didn't know you had the rona at the time, or I wouldn't have teased you with the pics. Some I couldn't send, to much background info. Hoping everyone has an awesome and safe New Year. Oh, first morning, no bait. Xraps produced. Rest of the time, Xraps and bait 3 foot behind planners. Even tied up to a tree one time, couple boats came in, thought I was crappie fishing and left.

Thank you everyone! Love the bait to boat reports. I'll contribute as soon as my steering is fixed.

I’m not in the old school crew but read and learned so much from the posts and how too’s here. Honestly I enjoy sharing my intel on here. It seems like it’s utilized by the people who need/deserve it, I almost feel as if I owe my intel in return for all I’ve learned. I’ll keep it up as hearing/seeing someone else catch fish with info I posted here or shared on water is almost as exciting as hooking up myself.

I guess I’m an old school guy now - I have been around the striper boards in one form or another for about 16yrs five or take. I still remember the real old school guys - not many of them left.
I’d love to post more, but I don’t get to fish much these days. Every few months, I sneak out if I’m lucky. One of these days when the kids get older, I will get back out there more frequently - I hope.
Facebook also killed these forums awhile back. When I first started, FB didn’t even exist and these boards were way more active. Now that FB is such a major source of info for most striper guys, they don’t even look here anymore.

I knew when you got married that you're fishing would slow down some.
This site is still one of the best information sites out there. I have googled certain subjects and have been lead back to this site.
Thanks to all that contribute.

Same for me I found this site about 4.5 years ago when I first started Striper fishing. I met a lot of my lake contacts on here and I learned a lot in a short time. I am with ya Tblspoon I too search and find more here than anywhere else still.
