New here lots of information. Would like to run down the setup I’m think I’m about putting together for my person bait tank. The tank will hold on average 5 lbs of fat heads.
I picked up a 125 gallon tank that was used to display koi at a local store. The bottom has a prefilter sponge that goes over a 1.5” strainer. I was going plumb this into a large pond pressure bio filter then to a 1800 gph pond pump and then let it exit over the top of the tank thru a 1.5 inch pvc pipe. For air I was thinking about two dannco Venturi bulkheads. Would this setup work? My other thought is to buy a minnow saver agitator this would add air and also remove a lot of ammonia the bio filter isn’t getting. Thoughts?
