Have had some folks asking how we were going to manage the tournament in this weird new world of Social Distancing, so I wanted to provide everyone with some details...
For the Fri evening Captain's Meeting, we will do this as a "drive-thru" Captain's Meeting - We will hold this at SML Building Supply on VA-122 in Westlake (near the Kroger), and you'll come through and pay your entry fee, purchase any charity raffle tickets, drop off your release form and pick up your measuring board & token card.
For Saturday after the fishing we will do similar - instead of having a group gathering & presentation you'll come back to SML Building Supply and drop off your measuring board & confirm your fish picture measurements. We will also have pre-drawn the raffle prize winners so if you're lucky enough to win one of those you'll pick that up at that time.
Once the final submission time has past I will tally the overall results and then post them to Facebook & Text out the results, along with doing a quick Facebook Live to announce the winners. Those in the money will need to come back by SML Building Supply to pick up your winnings (or I'm happy to have them donated the the Ward College Fund if you'd rather ) - and the top placing teams will need to be there in full for the polygraph- which will be conducted inside in the SML Building Supply facility.
While this certainly is not how I envisioned ending our 2019/2020 season - and I know everyone enjoys the gathering & social part after the tournament, we feel this is the best way to handle everything given the Covid situation in our efforts to ensure everyone stays safe & healthy so that we can hopefully get back to "normal" for next season.
If you've not registered, please do so at www.StriperMafia.com/registration and we hope to see you there!
