Finally got back out on lake after a couple months. Busy schedule and a faulty fish finder has kept me away. Was on water at 6:30, planning to plug for stripers a little while then crappie fishing. Had no idea there was a bass tournament going on!!!!! My goodness Iād say every bass in the lake seen a lure come by them Saturday morning just judging by the amount of bass boats I seen. Told my buddy that was with me that maybe we should have made a reservation for a bank or point before we came. Threw bucktails a while till about 8 am with only one hook up that came unbuttoned at the boat. Then proceeded to try and locate the crappie. Took us about 1.5 hours to get that first one but once we did we got dialed in and it was on. We caught around 30, with 18 keepers over 10ā. No giants, biggest was 12.5ā All fish was on deep brush in 25-30ā of water. Bobby Garland Blue ice was the hot item, on a 1/16 oz jig. Water temp 68-70
