I left moormans little before sunrise had bait in minutes. Fished down to beaverdam lots of bait especially small bait. Seemed like small bait was more prevalent closer to moormans and up river, and the schools of large bait seemed to be down river the more I’d go. My tank is small so tough to keep more than 20 healthy at a time so I throw often. It’s very possible I just hit the larger bait but it seemed like a pattern worth noting. I failed to note water temps in my notebook but if I remember correctly the water was almost 1 degree cooler above moormans than it was around beaverdam. Caught one 28” striper can’t say depth as I basically hand fed it while setting out light lines off the back. Also a very chunky large mouth. (And of course my scale is broken) Both fish caught and released before 830am. Weather was clear fished till 1 with no more striper but a better understanding of where to start this afternoon after work.
