We are going on an unprecedented third trip in a couple of weeks to SML this year (I guess one good thing came out of this crazy virus). Striper wise, first trip was a total bust for fishing but we had a bunch of fun, second we managed a few fish and had a lot of fun, third trip......? We will be staying way up on Craddock creek and will be fishing from my kayak 1/2 the week and have access to a boat for the other half. Was looking for any info y'all were willing to share. Not looking for honey holes or anything like that, but I was wondering if I can expect fish in Craddock or if I should travel to a different area to increase my chances. I also have been out in the back yard practicing with my new 8', 1/2", 1.5lb/foot cast net (which feels really heavy compared to my old 6'). Any recommendation where I might find some bait to scare with my new net? Thanks for your help.

Any light in craddock will have bait. The very back of the longer fingers in craddock will have bait. Plenty of white perch in the area to keep you busy, in the creeks and coves. Closest stripers might be at the trash boom at the dam during morning pumpback.
There’s a chance you could find stripers busting bait in the creek junction area of craddock, in the evenings.
