Hello Everyone,
Nice to meet you. I’m David, 50, and live in Christiansburg. Lifelong fishermen who’s been mostly dry docked the last 20 years raising a family. Love striper fishing. Learned how on sml years ago then moved to Texas and had a ball there with all the great striper lakes. I’m very rusty and just now upgrading and updating my gear. Just bought an ‘03 Sea Pro. Was out on the lake first time with it two weekends ago. Can’t believe how crazy it was. The number of boats and inexperience was like nothing I’ve ever seen. Waiting til things cool down before another weekend trip. Taking a vacation day here and there during the week to try and get my system somewhat back online.
Thank you in advance for the great info and encouragement. Looking forward to interacting here and getting to know you.
welcome aboard, david. i'm in Blacksburg. was stationed in TX '85-'88. spent some time on Belton, Stillhouse, and other Central TX bodies of water. congrats on the new sled. yeah, you'll wanna let the weather cool down and chase the rec boaters off before getting hot-n-heavy into it. i've been experimenting on days during the week this summer. i've learnt there is no good day, only good windows (and these are short). lots of virtual work and schooling going on out on the water. not sure this is what employers and school boards had in mind . . .
PM me if you need/want details. happy to share. i'm not a striper dood but i have logged some time on the water.
