Hey guys, Thinking about upgrading my sonar/gps. Wanted to get some suggestions from the experts on here. Never had a side imaging unit and really know nothing about them. They seem really hard for me to read because I’m used to traditional I guess? Lots of my friends have the Garmin stuff and like them. Wanted to hear some Input on what you all like and are currently using. I want at least a 9 inch screen.
Thanks in advance!

HB. I've had the other brands and while they make some solid units, it was the user interface on the HBs that sold me. Fewer key strokes to get to what you want, commands are very simple/easy to navigate.

I’m a die hard lowrance guy, I’ve had all three of these brands. I’ve had HB solix’s, lowrance HDS’, and I’ve had a garmin UHD. Nothing beats the clean crisp arcs that lowrance gives off. My humminbird just simply didn’t mark them as good, it did fine but the arches just weren’t nearly as sharp, I don’t know why that is. Hummingbirds MEGA side imaging is amazing though; and that’s all I miss off of my old unit. Garmin however, did just come out with panoptix which is absolutely amazing, and one of these days I want to get my hands on that, but for me as a striper fisherman, I’ve always preferred lowrance.
