For years I have had lights for bait and fishing at the end of our dock. Always felt it was a way of paying forward to fellow Fisherman for bait etc. Last summer went thru several spotlights figured it was poor product..Just before the last flood one side of the dock went dark. The next day we had the flooding so I turned off the power to the dock. Spring forward to this week I ordered a special led flagpole spot light so I didn't have a problem. When I went to change the setup I found that the other light had been removed.. Not sure how I should feel about my fellow fishermen. The light could only have been removed from the lake side and these bulbs we 20 dollars plus. It only takes one or two to Screw the Pooch. If your a guest on the lake appreciate it.

Thats crazy bud i know for sure i use some of yalls lights but never would i take anything from the people up there. I had seen a battery operated pole light with a battery charger that looked interesting too that would be nice if living up there.

I would suspect a neighbor that either doesnt want fisherman near the area or the traffic etc..Or the dont like the light in general.

Hate to add expense but those wifi security camera's work really well. You can have it trigger when someone is close by. They need to be somewhat close in proximity for the IR lights at night but may discourage folks.

Thanks for all the replies. I have had the lights on the dock for over 5 years and the neighbors understand that I fish and need the lights for bait. The light that was take had a directional shade on it to prevent light from annoying anyone. I also have a security camera not to deter fishermen from using the light but so I can tell if there are fish at the lights in the morning. I have ha the new led light up for several weeks with no issues. What I have done is schedule the light to come on at 2:30 am and go off at 6am. There are still quite a few fishermen that fish our cove because of the other light but now not at my dock.
