Hi folks. Sunday morning I caught about a 24" fish with a big red sore near the back underside of it's gill and another red spot emerging from it's scales. I'd post photos, but since Photobucket went costly, I don't have a way to. Hoping this is an isolated issue. Didn't really look like a hook scar. I released it. It had fought hard and acted healthy.

Good to hear from you! I think you can post again with photobucket without paying
Red sores are not uncommon this time of year around the spawn from where they maybe rubbing on rocks or having other fish rubbing on them - but usually on the belly or sides....

If you need a place to store photos, for posting on the forums, try this: postimages.org/It's a free image hosting site, and works just like photobucket does. I use it exclusively, and it works great.
